Hot Or Cold

Weather seems to play a big role in affecting behaviors of autistic individuals. I have noticed, with clients I work with, hot weather usually provide for more behavior outbreaks than cold weather does. I do not know if there are any preference issues towards cold or cooler weather. Most humans seem to, generally, prefer normal weather which is not too hot or too cold. So please be ready for behavior outbreaks due to the weather.

  1. I definitely notice that my son who is 16 and autistic acts out more during hot weather spells as we don't have air conditioning at home. He is more wired and styming a lot more, screaming and overall more of a challenge to deal with.
