Approval or disapproval? What do your extended family members think about autism? How do they treat your child/children with autism? It's necessary that everyone is on the same page with the parents. Really, it is the parent's who are at the forefront of all challenges that come with autism. Please communicate with family members about how you would like them to treat your child. Let them know to please treat her/him with respect.
